NutriLens is local-first: your food log lives on your device, photos are processed in memory and discarded in seconds, and there are no ads or data brokers anywhere in the building. This page is written in plain language on purpose.

A photo is a means to a number. It is processed in memory, sent to the configured vision provider for analysis, and not stored in the NutriLens account database.
No ad network means no third-party trackers, no retargeting, no "partners" with vague names.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Account records remain scoped to your authenticated NutriLens account.

Account deletion removes your server-side records, and the client clears any temporary scanner draft. There is no hidden NutriLens copy.
LIFECYCLE OF A PHOTO
CAPTURE
You take or pick a photo. It stays in the tab's memory until analysis.
PROCESS
The image is sent over TLS to the configured vision provider, which reads items, portions, or label fields.
KEEP THE NUMBERS
After you confirm, nutrition data and your corrections are saved to your authenticated account.
DISCARD THE PHOTO
NutriLens releases the image from request memory and does not store it in the account database.
Optional future cloud features will be strictly opt-in, and photos are never used for model training without your explicit consent.
During an AI scan, the image is sent over TLS to the administrator-configured vision provider for analysis. Provider handling is governed by its configured terms; NutriLens does not store the image in your account database.
